Meet Alex Rosier

Nice to meet you

If you’re reading this, hi there! đź‘‹

My name is Alex Rosier.

You’ve reached my personal site, thank you so much for checking it out.

The top part of this site says, “maker on a mission.” That’s just a glorified way of saying I’m trying to go from a ‘wantrepreneur’ to an entrepreneur—and I’d love to help others make the switch too, by documenting the ups-and-downs.

See, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been trying to get better, improve my self-awareness, and experience as much of life as it has to offer—and help others do the same.

I built businesses as a kid, but I didn’t really know what I was doing.

As I got older, this general approach in life of pushing myself led me to learn more about entrepreneurship in earnest.

My eyes opened to possibilities and I realized I wanted to carve my own path as a creator—and not spend my time working to build someone else’s dream.

And I became fascinated by this one, not-so-small problem:

We spend some one-third of our time on Earth working, yet millions of us choose careers that don’t fulfill us.

How this plays out varies from person to person, but I am damn sure none of us set out to choose careers that we hate.

We all have innate talents, passions, and abilities—but we let them drown in our bills, responsibilities, and instant gratification.

And so, I want to make it my mission to help solve this recipe for unhappiness.

Why? Well here’s a little bit more about me… 🙋‍♂️

It has taken me 8+ years of hard-fought years to figure out what the heck I want to do with my life.

Between job jumping, building things, experimenting, researching, informational interviewing, quitting jobs, moving laterally, learning new skills, journaling, meditating, you-name-it…I’ve tried it.

And I’ve not given up.

Now this definitely isn’t unique to me; this is something all ambitious people can relate to.

It’s not easy to be trapped inside your ambitious body and not know exactly where to apply that energy.

It eats us up inside.

Deep down I’m a guy who believes that action is better than inaction…

…That we exist to grow….

And that life is better when you’re clear on—and living true to—your core values.

Great. So what’s on this site?

On this site, I’ll be sharing my journey of building a business that addresses the problem above.

I’m inclined to do this because content creators often ignore the ‘how’ they built something.

And it leaves us—the readers and learners—in the dark.

And we’re human. We have a core need of certainty, we want to do things and know it’s going to work.

We freeze in ambiguity.

This site will help with that because I’ll be making the mistakes and then sharing them so you don’t have to.

Here you’ll also find my passion projects and portfolio pieces, from entrepreneurship and marketing to filmmaking and photography.

What you’ll learn here

Sit back, grab a cup of coffee—you’re in the right spot if you’re interested in the following topics:

  • Finding clarity amidst years of “what do I do with my life” questions
  • Building a mindset that sets you up for achieving your goals and finding fulfillment and happiness
  • Clarifying your core values
  • Learning human behavior
  • Maximizing productivity
  • Shifting from consuming to creating content

What I’m up to currently

I started my first business when I was 15.

For the past several years, I’ve been pushing myself to learn more about entrepreneurship—through books, videos, documentaries, online content, etc.—because I’m confident that’s what I’ll end up doing.

Where I’ve failed is putting it into action; learning has become my crutch. That’s what I’m setting out to fix.

In terms of my day job, I’m the Platform Product Marketing Manager for The Predictive Index, where I own the Go-To-Market Strategy for 4 software products. Predictive Index is an incredible place to work, and an even better place to learn about what drives people in their work.

I’m learning a ton about behavioral drives and needs, how to build high-performing teams, and how to lead a company’s most valuable—and most expensive asset—people.

I guess the universe has a weird way of helping us along our paths…🌎

At PI I work to deeply understand the core customer and validate our Job-To-Be-Done through research—so our product and user experience align with their core needs.

That’s a fancy way of saying I first ensure our products solve our customer’s problems, then empower our internal teams to sell said products.

Before The Predictive Index, I ran marketing for Northeast Alternatives. There I grew traffic 30,000% and helped them go from zero to multi-millions in first-year sales.

What about entrepreneurship?

Of late, I’ve started kicking myself into gear. For real this time.

I’m trying to live my mission out (and put my money where my mouth is) by creating a new channel and site called Growsake. Honestly, it’s scary, but I’m excited.

Growsake is the step-by-step solution to figuring out what you want to do in life. In today’s internet-driven world, we have infinite paths we can take, where we can focus, and what value we want to add to the world.

You can follow that here >> Alex Rosier YouTube.

My mission is to help others identify, pursue, and achieve their dreams through content that sparks confidence and action—not fear.

I love helping others build purpose-driven businesses by truly understanding the target customer—and reverse-engineering the experience to provide value at every stage.

The Japan Story

Niseko, Japan is the mecca of powder.

The Japan Story is an adventure film following five East Coast skiers on their dream trip.

This film has modern editing, spoken-word poetry, and a train track built for pre-schoolers.
